Istraživanjem je obuhvaćen utjecaj procesnih varijabli na flotabilnost ugljena u flotacijskoj koloni. Istraživanje je planirano uz upotrebu eksperimentalnog dizajna, a od radnih varijabli testiran je utjecaj protoka zraka, gustoće pulpe i veličine. Sadržaj pepela u koncentratu kretao se u rasponu od 4,61 % do 9,62 %, a iskorištenje od 17,43 % do 81,98 %. Statističkom analizom utvrđeno je da najveći utjecaj ima protok zraka, a potom i gustoća pulpe, a od interakcija gustoća pulpe i veličina čestica.
