Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering cordially invites you to a seminars held by:
Dr. Gábor Mucsi
Development of novel materials from mining and energetic wastes by mineral processing technologies
The main objective is to introduce the actual research activity on the University of Miskolc to the lecturers, researchers and students of UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB. The lectures will focus on the preparation of industrial and mining wastes. The following research results will be introduced: processing of waste and their impact on the environment with the subtopic of Waste management, Power plants, power generation, Environmental protection-waste management, Mining waste, Utilization of Coal Mining Gangue, Coal, Combustion Products (fly ash, bottom ash, gypsum), Manufacture of hydraulic binder and geopolymer from, industrial waste, Case studies, technologies
Dr. Sándor Nagy
Secondary raw materials in waste electrical and electronic equipment: Enrichment and recovery of critical elements (e.g. REE)
Presentation will focus on mechanical preparation of secondary raw materials. Structure and composition of waste high tech electric and electronic equipment will be introduced (e.g.: LCD, PDP, LED, HDD, NiMH accumulator). The processing of WEEE’s - focusing on mechanical enrichment of critical elements, rare earth elements – is also topic of the presentation.
