We are pleased to inform you that the 3rd European Radiological Protection Research Week of the 5 European research platforms
(ALLIANCE, EURADOS, EURAMED, MELODI and NERIS) will be held in
Rovinj, Croatia, 1-5 October 2018.
From the Director of IMROH
As the Director of the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, it is a great honour and privilege for me personally and for our Institute to host the 3rd European Radiological Protection Research Week.
I am truly convinced that this event will be a great opportunity for researchers, experts and professionals across Europe and worldwide to share their most recent experience, research and interests as well as to reflect together about the future challenges in radiological protection.
As a public research institute with more than 60 years of tradition in radiation protection research we are fully devoted to ensuring the success of the 3rd ERPW in Rovinj, Croatia!
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all my Croatian and European colleagues who have dedicated time and effort in helping organise this unique and important event, as well as to all supporting organisations in Croatia, Europe and worldwide for making it possible.
I firmly believe that this exceptional meeting will contribute to the promotion of the System of Radiological Protection, strengthen communication and collaboration among scientists across Europe, stakeholders, human kind in general and give our Institute an even more distinguished place on the radiation protection research world map.
I wish you all a most pleasant stay in the beautiful city of Rovinj. Welcome to Croatia!
Prof Ana Lucić Vrdoljak, PhD
Director of IMROH
From the Advisor
As the integration of European research progresses with the implementation of new EURATOM instruments such as Joint Programming calls supported by the research roadmaps and strategic agendas developed by the European Research Platforms, the second European Radiation Protection Research Week (ERPW, Paris 2017) and connected ICRP symposium attracted a record number of participants to take part in discussions and establish the state of the art in this field. The third ERPW will take place in Croatia at a time when discussions on the profile and objectives of the next EURATOM framework program, to follow Horizon 2020, will already be well engaged. Do not miss this opportunity to contribute to the development of this unique collective enterprise, to develop your interpersonal networks with the research community and its stakeholders, and to access prime information. I look forward to meeting you in Rovinj; Croatia, next October.
